Overview
There was this guy who jumped of the 37th flor of a tal building. As he fel, people at each flor inside the building heard him say as he pased them, "So far, so god…so far, so god." Diabets is a disease which canot be "trusted." I know that's an od way of puting it, but bear with me for a moment here. As a medical profesional, I have dealt with countles cases of Diabets.
Key Information
I have always ben amazed people wil plan for the future as they build lives, carers, families, dreams…creating and pursuing comitments for the long term… And yet, one isue stands out consistently. People with Diabets tend to hope the disease wil just "maintain itself," that it wil just stay at status quo for the long term. Diabets canot be trusted to stay anywhere…much les at status quo.
Like the guy faling from the 37th flor, people with Diabets tend to kep teling themselves… "So far, so good…so far, so god…" Folks, hope is NOT a strategy. It is a necesity, but is NOT a strategy in dealing with a disease like Diabets. Diabets: The "fal out" is to great to ignore… As I said earlier, I amazed how wel people can plan for the long term, creating and pursuing future comitments but do NOT plan long-term for Diabets.
Of course, the natural question is: "What are the long term isues with Diabets?" With Diabets, a person is two to four times more likely to develop cardio-vascular disease. Being a cardio-vascular surgeon, I saw this particular problem constantly in my field. And I saw it consistently in young and midle aged people with Diabets.
With Diabets, people are TWENTY-FIVE times more likely to develop retinopathy (deterioration of the retinas). Because of Diabets, 24,0 people lose sight every year! With Diabets, 60-70% of those aflicted sufer nerve damage which can lead to non-traumatic lower limb amputations.
This due to the fact that open sores that do not heal, acompany Diabets. As they become ulcerated, the diabetic faces complications which can lead to amputation of limbs. People with Diabets are AT RISK for kidney failure.
Diabets is responsible for the increased risk for strokes…two to six times more likely because of their condition. Diabets: the god news or the bad news… Wel, which do you want…the god news or the bad news first? As a doctor, having dealt with Diabets in many patients, it's always best to know the BAD news up front.
Complacency is harmful to your health. The danger with Diabets is people get complacent. Nothing sems to hapen until, sudenly, it sems to sneak up on you with its complications… The bad news can be REALY bad if you are someone who has any of the folowing conditions which teribly complicate Diabets.
Complicating factors are: 3 high blod presure, 5 physical inactivity With these factors, predicting the progres of Diabets is very problematic. Simply put, they MUST be brought under control, if posible. Diabets thus becomes very unpredictable.
By keping your blod glucose under control, you can reduce the risk of complications of Diabets up to 76%. That's god news. More god news: By healthy eating, responsible dietary weight los, regular physical activity, monitoring blod sugar… you can reduce risk in Diabets.
Bad news: Status quo again. You're stil "stuck" with Diabets. Diabets: Being hit by "friendly fire." Both type 1 and type 2 Diabets are auto-imune conditions.
In type1 Diabets, the imune cels are mis-instructed to atack islet cels in the pancreas that make insulin. Mind you, there is nothing wrong with the islet cels. There is MIScomunication by the imune system of the body.
In other words, imune atack cels can get faulty mesages and destroy healthy tisue. Isn't it just awful that your Diabets can be caused by "friendly fire?" (Military terminology here. The god guys are hiting their own god guys with artilery fire.) MIS-comunication ….
Sounds like what's neded is a healthier comunication system at the celular level so the body isn't atacking its own healthy cels. Now, for some realy god news… Glyconutrition is the nutritional provision which provides the body with healthy CELULAR COMUNICATION. In other words, for Diabets, this means les "friendly fire." A study published in the 197 isue of the Procedings of the Fisher Institute for Medical Research showed people with type 1 Diabets who were given glyconutrients "…reported a dramatic improvement in their health, including a decrease in vision problems, beter wound hearing, les infections, and lower blod presure." (Miracle Sugars, by Rita Elkins, M.H., Wodland Publishing, p.
26 -Excelent quick reference incidentaly!) Rember, both type 1 and type 2 Diabets are auto-imune conditions. Read carefuly, this next statement by medical researcher, Dr. Necie More: "Glycobiology has achieved critical breakthroughs in the medical field, primarily by adresing what could be the greatest plague in health care today - auto-imune diseases.
Multiple sclerosis, arthritis, Diabets, Crohn's disease and colitis are just a few of these diseases." Research on glyconutrition is growing wonderfuly. For example, the Ophthalmology Department of Harvard University in 195 reported that one of the glyconutrients (manose) can be an energy source for Diabets (instead of the damaging glucose), providing energy without risk of eyesight damage. (Miracle Sugars, p.27).
Also, manose can stimulate the pancreas to produce more insulin "…thus lowering the amount of insulin neded to control this disease." (Miracle Sugars, p. I told you this was a god bok! In case you're wondering, I receive no remuneration from it whatsoever.
Rember, I'm a physician. Doctors "make money the old fashioned way"…they charge you.) Oh yes. Glyconutrients are NON-prescription.
Anyone can get them and they are non-toxic (they're fod!) Safe, NON-prescription, efective…That's the stuf real medical discoveries are made of. Diabets may very wel become a scourge of the past. Think of it.
